Tueday - got together with Aaron, Ashish, and Raja. It's awesome that Ashish is back in town. I most probably won't see him in many years. He'll be stuck in med school in India perhaps forever. They might use his "studying" stance as a model for a statue or something. They might even name a rock after him.
Went to the Marketplace and hung out there, mainly since there wasn't anything else cheap/entertaining to do. Ahh, such is Bakersfield. Walked to the Baja Fresh, and Ashish took pity on the poorer folk and bought us some nachos. There came a point where we gobbled up the nachos really fast, and Ashish ended up throwing some chips on the plate and watched us chase after them. Reminded me a bit of a feeding frenzy.
By strange coincidence Erica and Susan showed up there too. They planned to play with a travel set of Scrabble. We ended up joining them, which was a bad mistake because Erica and Susan are cheaters. Teams: Erica and Susan, me and Raja, Aaron and Ashish. Erica and Susan "won" by cheating because they are sore losers who can't stand losing. They used words like "zee," which is supposed to be the letter "z" in phonetic form. And Erica & Susan wouldn't let Ashish and Aaron connect "CHIMPS" and "IT" with an "H" to make "CHIMPSHIT," which is definitely a word. Erica and Susan also insisted that "ED" is a word, which it isn't. "ED" is an acronym that stands for "erectile dysfunction," and is not a word by itself.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun, and we stayed in the Baja Fresh for about two hours. We got really loud, and I was surprised the management didn't ask us to leave.
Hopefully we will be able to take our day road trip to LA, and visit Mary Ann at USC. It all pivots on Ashish at this point, who is our driver. I think that Ashish has improved considerably in driving. I noticed that I don't need to grip the door handles quite so hard anymore.
That's all for now!
